Humanitarian Appeal
A violent conflict has recently erupted in Sudan, with reports of civilians being killed and injured in multiple areas of the country.
Reports indicate a significant increase in the prices of food, fuel, and other essential commodities, making basic necessities out of reach for many. Despite attempts to cease hostilities, the population is forced to flee amidst the ongoing clashes, seeking refuge in neighboring countries such as Chad and South Sudan, where they are in desperate need of essential relief supplies and shelter.
Our organization’s teams are working in the field to receive the newly arrived and provide them with humanitarian assistance. However, with more people being displaced due to the fighting, there remains an urgent need to expand the response and provide support.
The organization has deployed emergency response teams at border crossing points in Chad and South Sudan.
The organization has intensified the provision of essential non-food relief supplies such as soap and sleeping mats.
Reception centers have been established by the organization to register new arrivals and identify individuals from the most vulnerable groups.
